Taylen Green from Lewisville High School was rated a 3-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 3-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Green opted to join Boise State.

In 2022 as a freshman Green saw action in 10 games for the Broncos as he threw for 1894 yards on 253 attempts with a completion percent of 60.5 for an average of 7.5 yards per pass, with 13 TDs, while taking 5 sacks, and QB rating of 90.9.

In 2023 as a sophom*ore he played in 13 games as he passed for 1760 yards on 214 attempts with a completion percent of 56.5 for an average of 8.2 yards per pass, with 11 TDs, while also taking 6 sacks, and putting up QB rating of 83.1. He made 68 runs for a total of 504 yards at an average of 7.4 per rush.

• Super athletic - Made Bruce Feldman's 2023 Freak's List at #88. He Wrote:"Green threw for more than 2,000 yards, completing 61 percent of his passes, and was responsible for 24 touchdowns (14 passing, 10 rushing). He then went on to earn Frisco Bowl Offensive MVP honors. He’s 6-6, 230 pounds, but can also hit almost 23 MPH on the GPS. In high school, Green was a 43-foot-5-inch triple jumper"
• Good accuracy overall, including excellent accuracy on short timing routes to backs and receivers, placing the ball slightly in front to lead receivers to potential yardage after the catch.
• His height is an asset scanning the field, and Green is a better mover than a typical tall quarterback.
• From a physical standpoint, a prototypical modern quarterback.
• Green must be accounted for when used in the read-option game.
• He’s enough of a threat as a runner to make the read-option game effective.
• Green has enough arm strength to throw the deep out as well.

Scouting Report: Weaknesses

• Green has to clean up his throwing motion when he’s on the move. He was often too quick to pull the ball down and take off, and Green seemed to have trouble sifting through moving parts in the middle of the field.
• He remains a work in progress physically, though he has some upside to add bulk in addition to a little more arm strength.
• Green has a bad habit of fading and throwing off his back foot when the pocket gets muddled, and he is too often all arm when throwing on the move, sacrificing accuracy.
