The Rex Matriarchs were a triple threat of dangerous dinosaur dames that challenged you to branch out of one combat style and try another - but now we're adding a fourth to the mix! Some bumbling archaeologists have unearthed Anachronia's best-kept secret: Osseous! To defeat this boney baddie you'll need to flex your Necromancy skills.

Complete a short introduction and trek through the Rex Matriarch's lair into the bone-laden ossuary, where you may have unwittingly (or not) helped bring forth the fourth Rex Matriarch!

RuneScape Kingdoms Board Game Shortlisted for Award!

The judges at UK Games Expo (also known as UKGE, the largest hobby games convention in the UK) shortlisted RuneScape Kingdoms as Best Boardgame (American-style).

The UKGE People’s Choice Winner in this category will be decided by an online public vote - which means YOU can help RuneScape win! Voting opens from 09:00 BST on May 31st.

Steamforged Games have really done a great job bringing the RuneScape experience to the tabletop and we’d love the RuneScape community to show their appreciation by voting for the game! If you would like to vote:

If you don’t yet have a copy of the RuneScape Kingdom board game, there's still time to get your hands on one! Although the core game, Shadow of Elvarg, sold out in the Steamforged US store within weeks of release, there’s still stock available in hobby board game retailers around the world. You can also pick up a copy on the RuneScape merch store. Steamforged is reprinting the game as we speak, and will announce a restock date soon!

Great Reaction to RuneScape: Gift of Guthix Novel!

The first of three new original novels from Titan Books was published on May 14th were thrilled to see how well its been received. Check out the reviews Amazon.com below!

It is great to see that the novel is being recognised as a story to be enjoyed by all that also showcases the richness of RuneScape lore, delighting players of both RuneScape and Old School RuneScape.

If you've already read The Gift of Guthix, do leave a review on Amazon or let the author, @erinmevans, know you enjoyed it. She has been loving the messages received so far and is already working on the third novel, due to be published next year!

Osseous

• The Fateful portal at War's Retreat will now bring you to Osseous.
• Updated some in-game references to Osseous.

High Contrast Mode

• High Contrast Mode will now no longer toggle when always-chat mode is enabled and the keybind is set.
• Fixed an issue with colours not being saved when toggling High Contrast Mode.
• All highlight colour and border size settings can now be saved separately for High Contrast Mode toggled On and Off.
• Character's silhouette is no longer visible through obstacles, when the Entity Highlight Mode is turned off.

Quest

• Updated Kerapac's NPC model used in the Curse of the Black Stone quest.
• Updated King Arthur's description and Sir Tristram's dialogue which referred to Arthur as King of the Britons, and made some player-suggested adjustments to Arthur's opening dialogue and one of Sir Galahad's lines.
• The Cow1337killr character model has been updated.
• Fixed an issue with Squire Asrol's dialogue being incorrectly displayed.

Graphical

• Improved the model of the Exiled Guardian outfit and fixed the clipping issue.
• Thok's Gauntlets no longer clip with Thok's Outfit.
• Necks are no longer see-through when equipping the Arcane Blood Mage Robe Top.
• Fixed an issue with the Divination outfit legs being misaligned.
• Stretching is no longer present when wearing the Soulbound Lantern with the Necromancy Gloves.
• Fixed an issue where the water shader was not rendering within the Clan Citadels location.
• Fixed an issue with some old outfits and the angry walk on females causing a severely dented abdomen.

General

• Fixed an issue with additional sound being played when opening the calendar - unnecessary sound was removed.
• Fixed an issue that caused the rewards information text to overlap with icons within the TH probabilities interface for certain promos.
• Ironmen can no longer upgrade certain weapons purchasable from the oddment store.
• Fixed an issue with the filters not activating and clearing correctly.
• The Wilderness Sword's 'Nothing' option no longer locates the Hellfire Bow.
• Fixed an issue with the preset not loading the correct quivers.
• Tome of Um 2 description should now mention that teleports to City of Um's smithy are unlimited, Tome of Um 1 description no longer says that teleports require player to equip it to use teleport option.
• You now drag the Treasure Hunter interface around the screen.
• Fixed an issue during the Invention tutorial that prevented text appearing in the popup box that appears once you have reached level 2.
• Residual Souls can now be generated from Zorgoth's Soul Ring passive effect when using consumption abilities such as Soul Strike and Volley of Souls while already having the maximum stacks.
• From now on the Necromancy ritual requirements for missing glyphs should appear without issues.

Do you take your chance with a Rainbow Chest? Or want something spicier like a Phoenix Chest? When a chest is selected, a copy is placed into the Loot Room. Once the Loot Room is full you can open all those chests for free!
