Never Forget | Alaska Airlines Flight 261 | January 31, 2000 (1)

Today marks twenty years since we lost Alaska Airlines Flight 261 PVR-SFO-SEA when it suffered a catastrophic flight control failure off the coast of Southern California near Point Hueneme.

We will never forget Flight Attendants Kristin Mills, Craig Pulanco and Allison Shanks; Captain Ted Thompson; First Officer William Tansky; Sheri Christensen, Rachel Janosik, Ileana Ost, Sarah Pearson, Anjesh Prasad, James Ryan and Stacy Schuyler.

Supplemental Ditching Training

AFA has not agreed to any extra-contractual terms for the newly announced supplemental ditching training; discussions with management just started. Many management decision-makers are away at contract negotiations, delaying progress toward any sort of agreement. Our AFA Committees are committed to advocating for your rights and will address unresolved issues through the contractual grievance process if necessary.
