What can LiDAR not detect? ›

Some haze is manageable, but fog is not. NOT able to 'see through' trees – LIDAR sees around trees, not through them. Fully closed canopies (rain forests) cannot be penetrated. NOT a Substitute for Photography – For MOST users, LIDAR intensity images are NOT viable replacements for conventional or digital imagery.

What is the range of Livox Avia? ›

Long Detection Range

The Livox Avia adjusts its detection range according to the intensity of ambient light, while maintaining noise at a low level. The detection range increases to 450m under low-light conditions (such as on a cloudy day, indoors or at night), ensuring distant objects are captured in detail.

What frequency does Livox use? ›

The push frequency of the IMU module is 200 Hz. User-friendly Livox Viewer: Livox Viewer is a Windows software specially designed for Livox LiDAR sensors. It displays and records real-time point cloud data, replays point cloud videos, and analyzes the 3D point cloud data.

What is the difference between LiDAR 905 and 1550? ›

The second advantage of 1550nm over 905nm is that the former has strong atmospheric penetration and higher detection accuracy. The 1550nm laser has strong anti-interference ability, better beam collimation and brightness.
