Finally a release window (lol) trailer for Crimson Desert and console confirmation. Late 2025 apparently, which is a bit vague. Probably Spring 2026 then.
PC footage and looks extremely ambitious. I am very excited for this, but cautious at the same time. Dragon flight is still in!

Game looks cool but only thing I don't like is the John Desert protagonist.

I thought it was early 2025, I remember them basically saying that. Still exited for the release but oh man is the PS5/Series X versions are going to be rough, even on the Pro.

Eh. They had the same development issues as Granblue Fantasy Relink whereas they had to restart development. This was originally supposed to be a MMO but now it's not.

Yeah I know about that but it's not like they said it's years ago. Now I'm going to search that info about it's possible release time before this announcement.

Yes, originally announced as a MMO like Black Desert, it has been retooled and changed development into a single player open world RPG years ago.

This looks breathtaking.
Watching it on my OLED was wild, and I'm hoping they get it running good on the Pro.
It looks quite far along already, so hopefully this coming year is all about optimization~

Same, and I don't know if I'm just missing something but it really looks like there's a fem playable character for like two seconds 1:04-1:06
If so, I'm confused as to why they wouldn't draw more attention to that fact, or maybe she's just a character you play as for certain sections of the game?

Actually looks pretty cool. The dragon's wing flap cycle is wrong, though. Takes more frames on the flap down, and it's faster on the way back up.

This feels like rockstar levels of money thrown at a project with near infinite time.

This game is so unfairly underrated. Looks phenomenal with a world that actually looks alive.

I have an impression they are aiming at being the next milestone open-world RPG, the way Witcher 3 was for last gen.
Not crazy about their kitchen sink approach to mechanics (there just feels like there's an insane amount of stuff to do, which is a nightmare scenario for OCD completionists), but I am very curious how this ambition will actually pan out.
