I moved to briarwood in march and absolutely love it. It is still extremely affordable yet homey and close to everything. The F train is a so close by as is multiple highways and buses. I really love the atmosphere and how diverse the neighborhood is.

Briarwood is a small quiet neighborhood. You know the people in your building and those who work there. The small neighborhood has every store you can need with a subway station that can bring you further into Queens or all the way to Brooklyn.

Briarwood is a hidden gem! I lived here 3 years and loved it. There are so many trees and its quiet and safe. You can even see the stars which is a treat for NYC. We felt like coming back to our own oasis from Manhattan. We had a great private landlord who was great. Loved the diversity. Didn't spend much time in the neighborhood for entertainment. E/F were reliable and fast to the city. Eventually moved to be closer to the city but honestly miss briarwood a lot. Great access to forest park for biking and close to LIRR. the neighbors keep to themselves and after 3 years only started feeling little more connected. But it was also during covid so yeah. I really recommend briarwood to anyone who is looking for a diverse, safe, quiet, and tree filled neighborhood. :) It's small which I think there's pride in it too- not many people know about it! But some ppl think it's too far. Find what works for you! Albas pizza is great and close walk to dani pizza and Mr. Wish BBT.
